Who is the right person to spend time with?

So, forgive me, I can be very partial when it comes to discussions like this. That's when you'd hear someone like me saying only God deserves my time and energy lol, well that's because I'm very particular about my time.

I always say

My time is my life. Please don't ruin my life. Set me free if it isn't worth it and soon I'd find what's worth it.

But really, who isn't particular about their time? Everyone is supposed to be time smart
Even our elders have said that "time is money"
Knowing the right person is a skill we all have to learn; we must learn to know who you can share your time with, people you can spare hours of your day for just to pay attention to them which more than sometimes makes you feel alive.

But you must ask yourself..

Who is this Right person?
Once you ask yourselves the few questions below, I'm certain you'd find your answer or at least you'd see more clearly. But I must tell you, it doesn't matter if they don't love you as much as you do. It doesn't even matter what they feel about you. What matters is how you feel about it. How it makes you feel is what matters. It is only a mistake when you regret it, feel stupid or feel less.

So ask yourself..

1. Do I feel like it's a waste of time?
   
2. Do I derive so much joy from long conversations with them?
3. Do I feel like I need to dedicate even more time for them?
4. Does it sometime feel like I just want to keep talking on and on and on like forever?
5. Or have I been so much engrossed when talking to them that I forget a few deadlines to meet?

Now if you didn't pay absolute attention to these you'd never know that it isn't really about how they feel but how you feel. In my questions above I never made mention of how you think they feel but how you feel.

Most times, it's not always about dating and being in a relationship because that is where we all get it wrong. No one just wants to enjoy a true friendship, unconsciously we want something more.
But that's not the topic for today but for any other day..

You just go ahead today and spend time with the right person. I can't decide for you. Your heart will.
